Manchester United Agree Deal to Sign New Goalkeeper

Premier League giants Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign a new goalkeeper this summer.

The Red Devils have been on the hunt for a new shot stopper after current number one Andre Onana failed to impress and back-up Altay Bayındır didn’t step up.

They have been linked to the likes of Emi Martinez, Senne Lammens and Gigi Donnarumma amongst others.

However, with Onana looking increasingly unlikely to leave this summer, the chances of signing a replacement is looking less probable.

Manchester United Agree New Deal for Goalkeeper

Ruben Amorim’s side have offered Abdulla Al-Hammadi a permanent deal after the player was on trial with Everton. The 20-year-old has previously played for Al Wasl in Saudi Arabia. He is seen as a replacement for Hubert Graczyk who left this summer.

Whilst the player is unlikely to be a fixture in the first team, it does perhaps demonstrate the club’s willingness to strengthen the wider squad.

Ruben Amorim’s Transfer Business

The Red Devils have been ambitious in the transfer window, adding the likes of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon. However, their business is not over, with Benjamin Sesko set to be the latest through the door. Ruben Amorim’s side have seen off interest from Newcastle United and could seal the deal imminently.

The club are also being linked with Carlos Beleba from Brighton and Hove Albion. It is expected that they will still attempt to sign a goalkeeper if they can free up some funds. Martinez and Lammens do still appear the most likely.
