Man Utd transfer news sees four stars to leave as rival club's unwanted striker to sign

Manchester United are on the brink of securing their second summer signing as they inch closer to bringing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford on board.

The Cameroonian striker would be the second frontman to join the Red Devils. Matheus Cunha has already made his way from Wolves and Cunha could be next in line for roughly the same fee, pushing United's spending north of £100million.

Ruben Amorim is well aware that he needs a hefty transfer window to turn the tide in Manchester. He's also keen to streamline his squad and has several players returning who need their futures sorted out.

Marcus Rashford is back from his loan spell at Aston Villa amidst a flurry of speculation about his future. Antony has also returned from his stint in Spain.

Chelsea decided against making Jadon Sancho's loan deal permanent and Alejandro Garnacho continues to irk the club's top brass, potentially leading to his exit, reports the Mirror.

Newcastle have thrown their hat into the ring for Rashford this summer, with Caught Offside reporting that the Magpies are making 'serious moves' to snap him up as they look to beef up their squad for another Champions League campaign.

Rashford had been eyeing a move to Barcelona, but that might not pan out as they weigh up other options. Newcastle are hot on the heels of ex-United lad Antony Elanga but if they can't land the Nottingham Forest winger, Rashford is firmly on their list.

Eddie Howe is reportedly eyeing up a loan move for Rashford, but the Manchester United hierarchy might be looking to put an end to the ongoing saga. As such, they could push for a permanent transfer instead of another loan, potentially setting themselves up for a similar predicament next year.

Chelsea gaffer Enzo Maresca has hinted at a possible summer exit for Christopher Nkunku, with rumours swirling that the Red Devils are keen on the forward as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Since his move from RB Leipzig two years ago, Nkunku has found regular playtime hard to come by at Stamford Bridge. When quizzed about the player's future, Maresca said: "If Christo is here with us, it is because we think he can help us and he can be with us even next season. But as you said, there are many speculations, not just about Christo, about many players.

"And then if something is going to happen, I don't know because we said many times when the transfer window is open, anything can happen in terms of players that can arrive or players that can leave."

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter Milan are keeping tabs on Rasmus Hojlund, maintaining regular contact with United over a potential summer switch. The Danish striker had a tough time finding the back of the net last season, and United might decide to cash in on the 22 year old to boost their summer transfer kitty.

Inter are nearing a deal to bring in Parma's Ange-Yoan Bonny, but the Champions League finalists haven't given up on Hojlund. United's price tag is believed to be around £38m, which is more than the Italians are willing to shell out, so they might suggest a loan agreement with an option or conditional obligation to buy.
